Amour Noir Magnetic Face Mask Review

Magnetic face masks are the latest novelty product to produce in the extremely innovative mask market, and so i was eager to get my hands on one and provide it a go, to find out if it’s actually worthwhile, or just very novel! The Amour Noir Magnetic Nose and mouth mask is a really interesting product that I liked a lot more than I expected to, since it supplies a number of benefits in a clay-type mask format.

The Amour Noir Magnetic Nose and mouth mask comes prettily presented in box using the mask itself, a spatula applicator and also the magnet, as well as instructions printed to the box. The spatula isn’t great because it makes things a bit difficult with regards to spreading the product around, but the magnet it easy to use and also the mask is surprisingly creamy, so you could easily apply it without the spatula.

You apply the Amour Noir Magnetic Nose and mouth mask then let it sit for around 10 minutes. Even though it contains Dead Sea minerals, it doesn’t dry and instead stays creamy, which means you get the benefits of a gentle deep cleanse without the tightness. Once you’ve left the mask on for that designated time (you could definitely stay longer) you then put a tissue over the magnet and slowly slowly move the magnet over your face, without actually touching it. This is actually the fun and novel bit that feels very odd and sort of like mild static; it’s great fun watching the mask jump off the face and on to the tissue! I made use of around 6 pieces of tissue to obtain everything off.

Once the black area of the mask is gone, what’s left is a reasonably unctuous oil that you can massage into your skin and leave to continue to hydrate. It’s a very rich residue that would be amazing overnight on very dry and/or mature skin; I left it on for a few hours before washing it off. I like the fact that you get a large number of benefits from using this mask: it gives a light cleanse and leaves skin feeling very hydrated, plus it’s fun to use and it’s well presented too. It’s not a holy grail product for me, but it’s definitely one I’ll use again, and if you’ve been thinking of trying a magnetic mask then this one is a lovely place to start, providing an event that is gentle and fun and surprisingly lacking in mess!
