A couple of years ago I featured the relatively recently launched Friction Free Shaving (FFS) service, that is a razor delivery service designed for women, to ensure you never run out of razor blades and never finding yourself forced to use a blunt one. They’ve expanded their range considerably, and you can get a gorgeous delivery of what I think is like a Bento Box of shaving goodies, as you can tell:
Friction Free Shaving have taken a very mundane task and made it much more appealing, with all the lovely little add-ons available on top of your standard blade delivery. Whenever you join, you pick a razor (the main one I have is the silver 6 blade Silvia) then you have the option to engrave it which I’ve tried to photograph, but it’s proven a bit tricky! After that, you pick your add-ons, which currently consists of Pre-Shave Scrub, Shave Cream and Post Shave Balm, all of which are lovely, but I think the only one you really need is the Shave Cream. The Post Shave Balm can also be lovely, but not essential.
The basic package on sign-up costs lb9 per month (for the Silvia – engraving costs lb5) which provides a delivery of four blades per month, however, if you don’t shave regularly you are able to reduce the delivery to once every two months. Then add-ons are lb6 each, which is fairly decent as the products are very nice and work well with the razor. The whole presentation of the box is actually appealing – I think you could even get away with giving it as a gift as it’s so well presented and I’ve just noticed there’s a gift option where you can order the above mentioned box as a one-off for lb32 here – .
