I only managed to go and film a brand new video, didn’t I? After two false starts (one of them was realising I’d done everything without actually pressing the record button) I managed to create a short(ish)listing of my seventeen most-used beauty products from last year.
As I say in the video, there’s an important distinction between “most-used” products and “favourite” products. These aren’t necessarily my absolute favourites, because favourites could include – say – an incredible, luxurious red lipstick, or perhaps a blusher with an amazing compact. Stuff that might not be used daily, but would likely press all of the right beauty buttons.
I spent a long time looking through my notes and working out which things I’d used probably the most – there were dozens of face creams, lots of bath oils and shower gels and washes and no less than six different foundations that I’d used on rotation, but I eventually managed to get my list down to seventeen items. (It had been originally going to be ten, but then I kept seeing 17 Favourites of 2021 videos and that i thought that it would be nice to be matchy-matchy with my numbers. Additionally, it gave me an extra seven products in my list, which was a welcome addition as I was struggling to narrow it down!)
