I always have a bit of a soft spot for This Works, as their Baby Sleep Pillow Spray was something I used to rely on religiously for settling Teddy quickly to rest when he was a baby. I’ve never tried any of their skincare though, so I was particularly keen to try their new Evening Detox range, containing three products that are all aimed at wiping off the daily dirty and grime in a quick and effective manner.
The This Works Evening Detox Cleansing Water is kind of like a micellar solution, that you can use to remove all make-up – they recommend against utilizing it on the eyes, and whilst I wouldn’t utilize it to remove eye make-up, I have used it around the eye area with no issues. It’s made to be soothing and decongesting thanks to the Sweet Almond Oil and Aloe Vera. I personally prefer using both thee Evening Detox products in the morning (just to be difficult!) as I find this to be a great morning cleanser, particularly when I’m short on time. I also like to use it as soon as I recieve home to remove the majority of make-up and daily grime, before going for a full double cleanse at night. It’s lb22 here – .
The Evening Detox Spray-On Exfoliant is basically your typical exfoliating toner, because of the mix of Witch Hazel and Salicylic Acid that combine to help reduce breakouts, clarify skin and usually decongest and even skin tone. I’m unsure why it’s in a spray format as you can’t really spray it on your face, and instead have to spray it on to a cotton pad, that is a little bit easier and less messy that traditional methods, but the “spray-on” suggestion is a bit misleading. Having said that, it’s a lovely acid toner that’s gentle yet effective, making it great for all skin types other than the very dry or very sensitive. Again, I prefer using this in the morning after the matching Cleansing Water, to pep and refresh skin, setting it up ready for the morning skincare routine. It’s lb28 here – .
