The Rita Hazan Ny Lock + Block Protective Spray is really as it sounds, a protective spray that’s particularly well-suited to coloured hair; I've very coloured hair that’s always bleached, so I need protection and I often wear a large hat when in the sun, as this helps me protect my skin too. You use this spray as you would any other spray, applying in a fine mist over dry hair prior to going out into the elements; Rita also advises topping-up during the day, much like you would with every other kind of sun protection. I’m always wary of adding any additional products to my hair routine as my hair can very quickly turn greasy from product, however this spray is lovely and light; I swear it also gives hair a glossy finish too, but I can’t say for sure. What it really does offer is peace of mind that your hair is protected – why should you spend a fortune getting your hair professionally coloured just to hide it under a hat?
