Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is among those products that people really rave about, so when I was sent my first bottle within the Ivory shade, I couldn’t wait to have it on my face. As regular readers will likely know, I’m pretty pale (paler than you realized – MUAs always start with darker shades and are always surprised by how fair they have to go to get a good match!) there are many brands that don’t go pale enough for me personally (*cough* NARS *cough*) so, you can probably see where this is going, the Ivory shade was darker and uneven for me and I was gutted.
Thankfully, this has now been addressed and us super-paleys are now being catered for as there are a few new shades that have been added, with some even too pale for me personally! Well, one, but still. I haven’t had a chance to fully review the foundation yet, but I thought it would be handy to share with you some swatches of other similar shades of foundations, to get an idea of where the new shades fit in. The palest shade, Snow, is an extremely pale porcelain shade that’s actually too light for me, whereas the next shade, Swan, is the perfect match. Swan leans quite yellow in the swatch, but it isn’t overly yellow evidently – it’s sandwiched between two much cooler shades, which give it a significantly warmer appearance. The new shades are out now, that we believe brings the full range as much as 35 shades. Not bad, eh? Locate them here – – for lb29. I’ll hopefully get the foundation review live in 2012.
