My first ever introduction to a really good cream blusher was from Bobbi Brown, which arrived a kind of stumpy little stick and the formula was beautiful. For some reason they were altered, with both packaging and formula changing, that was a real loss. The Burt’s Bees All Aglow Lip and Cheek Stick would be the closest I’ve come to those beautiful blushers, and I would say everyone needs at least one of these in their kit.
The Burt’s Bees All Aglow Lip and Cheek Stick are generously sized stick blushers having a hydrating core, meaning you get a good payoff of colour alongside a light layer of balm, that provides the blusher the most beautiful dewy finish that's amazing flattering without looking greasy. This means that the blusher provides a wash of really easy-to-blend colour, making this a great option for those who struggle to blend out more traditionally denser cream blushers, but also if you want a very low-key make-up look as these are really, really easy to use.
I apply by swiping an ample circle on each cheek, which I then blend out, either with my fingers or a brush. I haven’t actually tried these on my small lips, but the formula is light and sheer, so that they are the perfect holiday product – you could get away with this, a tinted moisturiser, along with a lash and brow mascara for your entire holiday make-up look if you’re eager to pack light!
The three shades I have are (from top to bottom) Suez Sands – a muted pink ideal for a touch of colour, Peach Pond – this looks bright in the swatch, but it’s actually very light and excellent with a bit of a tan and finally Blush Bay, a slightly brighter pink that gives a pop of colour without having to be too in-your-face. I found myself using Suez Sands the most whilst on holiday, but since I got back I’ve reached more for Peach Pond. There are three other shades within the collection, so there’s something for everyone. These are absolutely beautiful and I’m an overall total fan.
